BROWARD COUNTY, FL - A federal judge has vacated the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) ruling requiring masks on
airplanes, buses and other public transportation.
As a result of that ruling, masks are no longer required at
Broward County's Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Port Everglades, or on Broward County Transit buses. If you'll be flying or cruising soon,
check with your individual airline or cruise line for their current policies.
The CDC is still encouraging individuals to wear facial coverings in crowded indoor public transportation venues.
The Broward County Administrative Policy has been amended to remove references to the vacated CDC rule. County officials continue to encourage
everyone to wear a facial covering and practice social distancing while indoors
on County property.
