James Jones Named New Assistant Director of Broward County Library
  
  

BROWARD COUNTY, FLJames Jones has been named the new Assistant Director for the Broward County Libraries Division. He has most recently held the position of Acting Assistant Director.

"I am delighted to work for the people of Broward County through this extraordinary, award-winning library," says Jones. "The services we provide and projects we undertake make it a creative, positive, life-enhancing experience." 

Mr. Jones joined Broward County Library in 2017 after nearly a decade with the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System, where he held a range of positions across public and technical services. Over the past nine years at Broward County Libraries, he has overseen systemwide operations in Collection Management and in Archives & Special Collections. 

"Mr. Jones has been a valuable member of administrative team, contributing to strategic planning, policy development, and organizational leadership," says Broward County Library Director Allison Grubbs. "He has a strong commitment to intellectual freedom and forward thinking, and embraces the highest principles for library services, making him a perfect fit for his new position."
