Flamingo Road Sidewalk and Bike Lane Improvements

- Work begins August 18 -

BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Public Works' Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division will be installing ADA-accessible pedestrian ramps, performing sidewalk and bike lane improvements, and resurfacing deficient areas of Flamingo Road from Honey Hill Drive/County Line to Red Road in Miramar (see attached map). This work, funded by the transportation surtax, will begin August 18, and will conclude in March 2026, barring any unforeseen conditions or weather-related delays.

During construction, at least one of two travel lanes in each direction will be open to traffic at all times. Temporary single-lane closures will occur during off-peak hours. Sidewalk access will be minimally impacted, with pedestrian detours clearly marked.
