BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Public Works'
Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division will install a new privacy wall,
approximately 900 feet long and 8 feet tall, along Sistrunk Boulevard, east of NW
31st Avenue in the Broward Municipal Services District (see attached map). Work
is scheduled to begin Monday, July 7, 2025, and conclude by September
2025, barring any unforeseen conditions and/or weather delays.
This gas tax-funded project will involve the installation of a temporary privacy fence to separate
construction activities from nearby residents, removal of the existing deteriorated
wall, and construction of a new wall consistent with the design used in the Franklin
Park neighborhood. Following
installation, the construction site will be restored to ensure a
clean and finished appearance.
During construction, at least one
of the two eastbound lanes of Sistrunk Boulevard will remain open to traffic at
all times. Temporary single-lane closures
will occur during off-peak hours. No full roadway closures are
anticipated. Westbound lanes will remain open for vehicular traffic. Pedestrian
traffic will be detoured to the sidewalk on the opposite side of the street,
and driveway access will be maintained throughout the project.
Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division can be reached at 954-357-6040, and Project Manager Stanley Bateman can be reached at 954-647-6490 or sbateman@broward.org.
Broward County appreciates your patience as we complete this necessary work.
