BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The Public Works' Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division will be performing sidewalk improvements and asphalt repairs along Pine Island Road between Holmberg Road and Trails End in Parkland. In addition, asphalt repairs will also take place on Nob Hill Road from NW 66th Drive to Parkland Reserve Boulevard (refer to the map attached). This gas-tax funded construction project is scheduled to begin on June 2, 2025, and will conclude in December of 2025, barring any unforeseen conditions or weather-related delays.
During this work, one lane will be closed to vehicle traffic during off-peak hours, while the adjacent lane will remain open. Access to some sidewalks will be affected; sidewalk detour signs will be installed to provide a pedestrian detour.
Message signs will be posted to notify affected motorists and pedestrians prior to the project's start.
The Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division can be reached at 954-357-6040 and Project Manager Istvan Virag can be reached at 954-654-1397 or ivirag@broward.org.
