BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Public Works' Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division, in partnership with the Highway Construction and Engineering Division, will be performing a transit and pedestrian improvement project in Oakland Park on NW 21st Avenue from NW 33rd Court to NW 35th Street (see attached map). This gas tax-funded project includes the removal and relocation of an existing bus stop, installation of two traffic separators, and resurfacing of the affected roadway.
Work will begin Monday, April 7, and is expected to be complete in July 2025, barring any unforeseen conditions and/or weather delays.
Construction will occur during non-peak hours from 9AM to 4PM, during which a single lane both northbound and southbound will remain open for vehicular traffic. Driveways and sidewalks will remain accessible.
Variable message signs will be posted to inform affected motorists and pedestrians.
