BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Animal Care, the County's official pet
adoption and animal welfare agency, is urgently calling on residents to open
their homes and foster shelter dogs and cats. Fostering a pet provides a safe,
temporary haven for animals during severe weather and helps reduce shelter
overcrowding, ensuring that more lives are saved.
"We need our community's help more than ever,"
said Doug Brightwell, Director of Broward County Animal Care. "Fostering a
pet even for a few days can make all the difference. You're providing safety
and comfort and saving a life in the process. We provide all necessary
resources, including food, supplies, and support. All you need is a little
space and a lot of heart."
Broward County Animal Care is making it easy to foster a pet
by providing everything foster families need. Fostering not only gives animals
the security they need during uncertain times, but it also frees up shelter
space to help more needy pets.
Fostering is a simple but impactful way to make a
difference. Whether you're an experienced pet owner or new to fostering, this
is a chance to give back and help save lives.
