BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward County Library observes Hispanic Heritage Month 2024 by hosting free, entertaining cultural and literary programs and events for children, teens and adults at multiple library locations.
Each year from September 15th through October 15th, Americans celebrate the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens who have roots in Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.
In appreciation of Hispanic culture, the library encourages people to take a salsa workshop or a Spanish lesson; bring the kids to a bilingual storytime; enjoy musical and folk-dance performances; express creativity with arts and crafts; and get social with community games such as loterĂa (Mexican bingo).
For a complete list of the library's Hispanic Heritage Month programs, visit the library's Hispanic Heritage events page. All events are free and open to the public; registration is requested.
