BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward County Transit (BCT) and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) are hosting a public meeting regarding the Broward Commuter Rail (BCR) South Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study along the Florida East Coast Railway from the Aventura Station in Miami-Dade County to southern Fort Lauderdale in Broward County. The stations are recommended in the City of Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, and South Fort Lauderdale. Please note this project is independent and south of the New River in Fort Lauderdale. The public meeting will be held in person and virtually on two separate dates.

The in-person public meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 6PM at the City of Hollywood City Hall located at 2600 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood, Florida 33020.  Free on-site parking will be available at City Hall Circle and in the overflow parking at Broward Library.

Each meeting will consist of a formal presentation followed by an open discussion. Staff will be available to answer questions and provide assistance. Comments and questions will be answered in the order received. If a question is not answered during the event, a response will be provided in writing following the meeting. Questions and comments may also be submitted prior to the meeting by e-mailing the Project Manager.
