BROWARD
COUNTY, FL- Groundbreaking
for the Port Everglades Bypass Road will take place on Monday, April 29, 2024,
at 10AM at the Broward County Convention Center Marshalling Yard in Fort
Lauderdale.
The $55-million infrastructure
project involves the construction of a bypass road. This
road will serve several important purposes:
- It will create
a direct connection to the Broward County
Convention Center.
- It will separate
general use traffic from the traffic going to Port
Everglades.
- It will
help reduce congestion on US-1 and SE
17th Street.
- The Port
Everglades Bypass Road will have one lane in each
direction and will include a 1300 ft elevated bypass road section exclusively
for motor vehicles.
