19th Annual Children's BookFest Kicks Off Summer Learning Program

BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Enjoy a free family festival full of music, dancing and stories at the 19th Annual Children's BookFest, the official kick-off for Broward County Library's 2024 Summer Learning Program, held from 10AM to 3PM on Saturday, June 1 at the Northwest Regional Library, 3151 N University Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33065.

"Summer at Your Library" begins with the Children's BookFest, a signature program of Broward County Library, ideal for families with preschool and elementary school-age children. Guests can learn about new library resources for early literacy and sign up for this year's "Adventure Begins at Your Library" Summer Learning Program. BookFest is free and open to the public, with registration requested.

In addition to Summer Learning Program registration, there will be a book giveaway (while supplies last), local authors, entertainers, crafts, face painting, activities, storytellers and virtual reality experiences. 

The 2024 featured guests include award-winning children's book author and illustrator Juana Martinez-Neal, Fantasy Theatre Factory, Double Dutch Over 40 Club, Catalina the Clown, Marci Poppins, Mockie Jockie Stilt Dancers, Caribbean music, Capo Capoeira martial arts, South Florida Cloggers, Indian dancers, music of the Andes, Coral Springs Charter School marching band, plus many more. 

The Children's BookFest is presented through collaborations and partnerships with many community partners and is generously funded by Broward Public Library Foundation,  Children's Services Council of Broward County, Panera Bread, the Friends of the Northwest Regional Library and the Stephanie Rubin Memorial Fund.
