BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward County Transit (BCT) is seeking public input to help shape future transit service. All BCT customers and community members who are curious about transit are invited to participate in a virtual project kickoff meeting, online survey, and pop-up events throughout the month.
WHO: Broward County Transit (BCT)
WHAT: Project Kickoff Meeting | Online Survey
WHERE: Virtual via Zoom. Register at bit.ly/BCTCOAkickoff
WHEN: February 6, 2024, 6 to 7 PM
WHY: To help shape future transit service
An online community survey is also open until March 10 at
bit.ly/BCTCOAsurvey. It includes requests for improvements to specific routes, locations where other improvements are needed, preferences for transit service tradeoffs, and investment priorities.
BCT staff and the project consultant team will be hosting pop-up booths at BCT transit centers and community events throughout February and early March to talk directly to customers and get input on key needs in the system. The input received through these activities will guide draft network recommendations, which will be shared with the public for feedback this summer.
"At the end of the
day, we want this to be a customer-centric plan that enhances the rider
experience," said Coree Cuff Lonergan, CEO/General Manager of Broward County
Transit. "We want to think creatively about what transit in Broward County can
look like moving forward to better serve our current riders, grow our system's
ridership, and leverage our investment in PREMO service, even if that system
looks different than the one we have today." If you have any questions, please
contact the project team at bctcoa@broward.org.
