Broward County Library Offers New Streamlined Mobile App

- Free app simplifies finding and using eBooks and eAudiobooks -

BROWARD COUNTY, FLThe Palace Project, Broward County Library's newest free mobile app, provides customers with streamlined access to the library's collection of eBooks and eAudiobooks. It's available for Android and Apple devices, and can also be found on the library's Mobile Apps page.

The new app is a "one-stop shop" for the library's digital content, making it faster and easier to search the Broward County Library catalog, find eBooks and eAudiobooks and start reading or listening without going to another digital source or additional sign-in page. No personal data is collected by the Palace Project app, which provides Broward County Library customers with an additional layer of privacy.

"Digital formats like eBooks and eAudiobooks are becoming more popular, but they are also expensive," says Broward County Library Director Allison Grubbs. "With the Palace Project app, Broward County Library customers can access all the titles they want and need for free, with a convenient and streamlined mobile experience."

The Palace Project, funded by the Knight Foundation, supports the mission of public libraries by providing equitable access to digital knowledge. Its name was chosen to highlight the central role libraries play in public life and the idea of public libraries as "Palaces for the People."

In addition to the new Palace app, Broward County Library customers also have access to a robust collection of mobile apps including Libby, Axis 360, Hoopla, Kanopy, Rosetta stone, Brainfuse Tutoring, Freegal Music and more.
