BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Many kittens are born this time of year during Kitten Season, which runs from June until October. If you find a cat with her litter, you're asked to leave them alone. Picking up found litters of kittens may hurt them more than help them. If you have observed the kittens for 24 hours and are sure that the mother isn't returning, you may pick them up and care for them. Newborn kittens need special care. You can help by learning how to bottle-feed them. Kitten Care, a joint program between Animal Care and Broward
County Library, will teach attendees how to care for abandoned kittens found in the community. There will be live bottle-feeding demonstrations
with kittens and opportunities to become a neonatal kitten foster parent.
