BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Join Broward County Library for "Oceans of Possibilities," their free, all-ages Summer Learning Program, from June 1 to August 13, 2022. It features a summer awash in fun, prizes and free entertainment for children, teens and adults, beginning with the kick-off event, the 17th Annual Children's BookFest on Saturday, June 4th from 10AM-3PM at West Regional Library.
Spend the
summer winning prizes for reading, learning and trying new things at free,
amazing events held both online and in person. Readers
of all ages can register online to be eligible to win great prizes from Museum of
Discovery and Science, Miami Seaquarium, Miami Children's Museum, Water Taxi,
Butterfly World, Everglades Holiday Park, Miami Heat, Florida Panthers, Shake
Shack, Zoo Miami, Bluefoot Pirate Adventures, WaWa and more.
Summer Learning Program events include author events such as Soul of a Swimmer by
Carla Albano (In Person, two locations) for adults and Draw My Life with Lily Williams
(Online) for youth.
The Broward Public Library
Foundation (BPLF) sponsors many of the
summer programs including Florida Aquatic Summer Series
(Online on Facebook Live), Circus Fanta-Sea (In Person)
Puppet Show (four locations), and storytelling with Windell Campbell featuring Tales of the Sea (In Person,
multiple locations). The BPLF has also underwritten workshops and
shows that will be held in person at multiple locations with Miami Children's Museum and the Morikami Museum, such as The Fisherman & the Dragon
Palace, Katie's Kids Yoga and Culture, Rhythm & Sounds.
