Broward County Library Wins Five Hermes Creative Awards

  BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward County Library won five 2021 Hermes Creative Awards for online/digital projects, earning a Platinum and two Gold awards as well as two Honorable Mentions. Hermes Creative Awards, which is administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, is one of the oldest and largest creative competitions in the world. Winners range in size from individuals to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies.

"We are excited to showcase these customer-focused library services and products, and honored to have them recognized nationally," says Broward County Library Interim Director Allison Grubbs.

Bold, bright and user-friendly, Broward.org/Library provides visitors with an engaging, easy-to-navigate website that is operates as a fully functioning online library “branch," an excellent example of government website that effortlessly merges form and function to offer an outstanding customer experience.
-Stay Connected eBrochure (Gold Award/Electronic/Social/Interactive Media/Digital Publications/eBrochure)
In the early stages of the COVID-19 crisis, Broward County Library published an online "Stay Connected" publication that provided links to a variety of resources that would be helpful for families and individuals who were in need of entertainment and educational resources.
-“Fresh News” eNewsletter (Gold Award/Electronic/Social/Interactive Media/Digital Publications/eZine)
Fresh News is Broward County Library’s twice-weekly customer eNewsletter. Distributed twice weekly to more than 160,000 subscribers, it  includes information on the library’s programs and events and updates on library services and resources.
-E-Magazine Marketing Campaign (Honorable Mention/Public Relations-Digital Marketing Campaign)
COVID-19 prompted the removal of physical magazines in the browsing collection. These colorful, modern displays were created to attractively fill that space while also marketing the library’s online E-magazine collection.
-FLLibrary (Honorable Mention/Public Relations-Interactive Brand Experience)
The Broward County FLLibrary, a satellite library location featuring the latest in streaming media technology, opened June 2019, at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). The FLLibrary is an innovative new space where passengers can relax, recharge their devices and get free downloadable/streaming music and movies “on the fly” via QR codes.
