Women's History Month at the Library Celebrates Women of Vision & Strength

BROWARD COUNTY, FL Throughout March, Broward County Library will be hosting events for all ages that celebrate Women's History Month, including movie screenings, story times, arts-and-crafts, book discussions and more, all free and open to the public. A full list of events, dates and locations are listed on the attachment at the bottom of the page. 

Also in celebration of Women's History Month, Broward County Library and World and Eye Arts Center will present a series of free arts workshops at five libraries on March 14th, 21st, 22nd, 28th with a culminating event, the  Women Crossing the Line Performance Festival on April 4th, 1-5PM in the Main Library, 100 S Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301, 954-357-7444. Tickets for the Women Crossing the Line Performance Festival range from $12-$20 and can be purchased on Eventbrite. 

The series celebrates women’s power, creativity and self-discovery and hones skills in poetry writing, storytelling, mask performance, art-making and dance. Each workshop focuses on a different aspect of creativity to be displayed at the Performance Festival. Attendees may join one or all workshops; Eventbrite registration is requested.
