BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Throughout March, Broward County Library will be hosting events for all ages that celebrate Women's History Month, including movie screenings, story times, arts-and-crafts, book discussions and more, all free and open to the public. Also in celebration of Women's History Month, Broward County Library and World and Eye Arts Center will present a series of free arts workshops at five libraries on March 14th, 21st, 22nd, 28th with a culminating event, the Women Crossing the Line Performance Festival on April 4th, 1-5PM in the Main Library, 100 S Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301, 954-357-7444. Tickets for the Women Crossing the Line Performance Festival range from $12-$20 and can be purchased on Eventbrite.
The series celebrates women’s power, creativity and self-discovery and hones skills in poetry writing, storytelling, mask performance, art-making and dance. Each workshop focuses on a different aspect of creativity to be displayed at the Performance Festival. Attendees may join one or all workshops; Eventbrite registration is requested.
