Broward County Library 5K 'Suit Run' Benefit at Markham Park

BROWARD COUNTY, FL -  Spring clean your closet and lace up your sneakers in preparation for Broward County Library’s 5K Cancer & Suit Run Benefit  and Easter egg hunt  from 7:30 to 10:30AM on Saturday, April 11th at Markham Park, 16001 W State Road 84, Sunrise, Florida 33326, 954-357-8868.

Competitive runners, casual runners and walkers of all ages are invited to participate in a fundraiser that benefits cancer charity My Style Matters, Inc., a community support system for cancer survivors and confidence building, and the Achievement Foundation of Fort Lauderdale, Inc., which supports charitable, scientific and educational endeavors for youth. Donations of clean, new or used men’s and women’s suits will be collected to outfit debate team students at Broward County Public Schools.

Runners are encouraged to bring friends and family for a morning of socializing, networking and fun around a 5K run (timed and untimed), music, a one-mile walk, vendor giveaways and an Easter egg hunt. A DJ will be there to spin up-tempo pop, hip hop and R&B tunes.

Early registration is $15 beginning Thursday, January 30th. Last minute entrants can register in person on the day of the event at 6:30AM. For additional information, contact Michael Bryant at Mdbryant@broward.org or 954-357-7435.
