BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Mark your calendars in vivid color for Saturday, January 11, 2020, from 10AM to 5PM as Broward County Library and the City of Pompano Beach present ArtLit 2020: Remembering the Past, Envisioning the Future. This free, all-ages celebration of art and literature features live chalk art, canvas art, music, virtual reality demonstrations, interactive experiences, food trucks, and more and will take place at the Pompano Beach Library & Cultural Center, 50 W Atlantic Boulevard, Pompano Beach, FL 33060, 954-357-7595.

ArtLit began in January 2018 when Broward County Library held its first outdoor chalk art/literary event, the ChalkLit Festival, which saw record-breaking crowds at the Main Library. In 2019  Broward County Library partnered with the Pompano Beach Cultural Center to present ArtLit: A Day of Heroes, a collaboration that moved the event from Fort Lauderdale to Pompano Beach (check out a video of the 2019 ArtLit event here).

"We're excited to once again partner with the City of Pompano Beach in hosting this exciting community celebration," says Broward County Library Director Kelvin Watson. "This year's ArtLit will be better than ever, and we're looking forward to a day filled with art, literature and excitement."

Carpooling and ride sharing are highly encouraged! If you use Uber or Lyft, Spanx the Hog BBQ restaurant, located at 147 S Cypress Road, Pompano Beach,  has volunteered to be a drop-off/pick-up point.
