BROWARD COUNTY, FL – In November 2018, Broward County voters approved a 30-year, one cent surtax for transportation. The sales surtax took effect on January 1, 2019. This unprecedented, 30-year, $16.5 Billion transportation initiative means opportunities to grow businesses in many sectors and trades!

Did you know that the County Commission adopted a 30% small business participation goal on all eligible surtax projects? Come find out how you can be a part of transforming our community as a certified small business, County Business Enterprise (CBE).

If you are a current Broward County small business owner that is already certified as a CBE or you’re interested in becoming certified, you want to attend this transportation surtax session.

Please join us at our first information session led by the Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD) Director Sandy-Michael McDonald and Director of Broward County Transportation Chris Walton, as they provide the inside scoop on upcoming projects, and the short- and long-term opportunities available for small businesses.
