Volunteers Needed for MLK Day of Service and Community Celebration

BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward Municipal Services District (BMSD) neighborhoods will honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through volunteerism. On Saturday, January 14th, residents in Boulevard Gardens, Washington Park, Roosevelt Gardens, and Franklin Park are invited to join the BMSD 2017 MLK Day of Service and Community Celebration. Everyone is welcome and students can receive community service hours. Volunteers from BMSD get first choice at tree give away while supplies last.

Boulevard Gardens Community Center, 313 NW 28th Terrace, Fort Lauderdale will be the site for registration and announcements from 8-8:45AM. Project activities are planned from 8AM-1PM. Free lunch served from 1-1:30PM at Boulevard Gardens Community Center, 313 NW 28th Terrace, Fort Lauderdale.

Volunteer parking is available at Reverend Samuel Delevoe Park, 2520 NW Sixth Street in Fort Lauderdale with the exception of those participating in the Community Clean Up at Lafayette Hart Park, 2851 N.W. 8th Road, Fort Lauderdale. Free shuttle service is available from 7:30AM-1PM from Delevoe Park to Boulevard Gardens Community Center.
