Attention Writers & Readers! 6th Annual Library Literary Expo on March 6

All-day event at NR/BC Library offers workshops, panels & author showcase

BROWARD COUNTY, FL Writers and readers come together for a day of literary growth through "Tell Your Story. It's Your Write!" from 11AM to 5PM on Saturday, March 7th at North Regional/Broward College Library, 1100 Coconut Creek Boulevard, Coconut Creek, FL 33066, 954-201-2600.

This free event allows published and aspiring authors to share their knowledge through a variety of author-led workshops and panel discussions.  "Tell Your Story. It's Your Write" gives writers a unique, focused opportunity to connect with the local literary community and learn a skill they may need for their upcoming novel, story, or screenplay. New York Times notable author John Dufresne will open the event.

Writers will meet published authors, enhance their writing skills and learn about the business of writing and publishing with tips from industry experts. Books will be available for purchase and signing from select authors.

Workshop topics at the event include developing ideas, self-publishing, writing a children's book, mystery writing, creating fictional characters, composing dialogue, and producing a screenplay.

Tech workshops will explore the creative, ethical use of artificial intelligence for authors; and free, online library resources to use for research. Another topic is the theme of literary freedom and how to defend it. For writers of the historical genre, covered topics include exploring family history with genealogy software and doing research for historical fiction.

Sponsorship has been generously provided by the Friends of the North Regional/Broward College Library, Friends of the Broward County Library, and the City of Coconut Creek. Food trucks will be on site.

"Tell Your Story. It's Your Write!" is free and open to the public; registration is requested. For additional information, contact Hayley St. John-Ayre at 954-201-2657 or HSTJOHNAYRE@broward.org.
