Cold Weather Emergency Advisory
  
- Shelter placement for the homeless to begin at 530PM -
  

BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The National Weather Service is predicting extremely low temperatures from Tuesday, December 30, through Thursday, January 1 in Broward County. Therefore, the County has collaborated with local community partners to shelter individuals and families experiencing homelessness throughout this timeframe. 

Homeless persons are advised to report to The Salvation Army for shelter placement that will begin at 5:30PM. Dinner is optional and will be available at 4:30 PM.

Please notify homeless persons in your area of this advisement. Shelter beds will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited.  

If the weather forecast changes to predict warmer or colder conditions, cold weather emergency shelter nights may be canceled or extended.
