Library's ArtLit 2025 Festival Celebrates Chinese Art & Culture

BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward County Library's, free, all-ages ArtLit 2025 festival celebrates the culture of China with an amazing day of art, music and community, scheduled from 10:30AM to 3:30PM on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at North Regional/Broward College Library, 1100 Coconut Creek Boulevard, Coconut Creek, FL 33066.

ArtLit 2025 features hands-on cultural, creative and artistic interactive experiences along with this year's NEA Big Read book selection, To Live by Yu Hua, and Director's Book Club January 2025 selection, Lady Tan's Circle of Women by Lisa See.    

Enjoy live music and dance performances, Chinese crafts and games, food trucks, giveaways, vendors, photo ops, book discussions and more, including free face painting, a puppetry activity and other activities just for kids. 

"ArtLit 2025 is a celebration of diversity and the power of literature to connect us all," said Broward County Library Director Allison Grubbs. "It's a wonderful way to learn, engage and celebrate together as we showcase the beauty and richness of Chinese culture."

Admission, parking and all ArtLit 2025 activities are free, but registration is requested.

Traditional Chinese music by Echoes of Nature

Games: Ping pong and mahjong 

Crafts: Scroll painting, paper folding

Demonstrations: Pottery, Chinese dance

Live visual art experience 

Writing workshop

Book discussions

The NEA Big Read is a nationwide literacy initiative that encourages shared reading experiences in communities with the goal of inspiring meaningful conversations, celebrate local creativity and building stronger connections within the community.
