BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Animal Care invites the community to its upcoming "Summer Bash," a free adoption event with special guest Susan Kelleher, DVM, a renowned celebrity veterinarian and star of Dr. K's Exotic Animal ER on Disney Plus.

Visitors will enjoy family-friendly games, facility tours, educational booths, food trucks and opportunities to meet and adopt adorable pets looking for their forever homes. Dr. Kelleher, known as
Dr. K, will be available for pictures during the event. Dr. K brings knowledge and passion for animal care. With extensive experience in avian, exotic and wildlife veterinary medicine, Dr. K founded Broward Avian & Exotic Animal Hospital. She has also served as a volunteer faculty member at the university level. She has dedicated her career to the unique needs of exotic pets and is a beloved figure in the veterinary community.

Animal Care is hosting the Summer Bash to increase participation in the Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters Initiative. All adoptions through July 31 are funded by the Bissell Pet Foundation.
