BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The National Weather Service is
predicting low temperatures this weekend in Broward County. Therefore, Broward County has declared a Cold
Weather Emergency from:
- 6PM Friday, January 13 until 9AM Saturday, January 14
- 6PM Saturday, January 14 until 9AM Sunday, January 15
- 6PM Sunday, January 15 until 9AM Monday, January 16
Homeless persons are advised to report to the below
locations no later than 6PM each night.
The Salvation Army

HOPE South Florida
1100 N. Andrews Ave.
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311
Please notify homeless persons in your area of this
advisement. Space is very limited.
Friday afternoon new blankets were distributed to unsheltered homeless individuals. If the weather forecast changes to predict warmer or colder
conditions, cold weather emergency shelter nights may be canceled or extended.
If there are changes to this declaration, they will be issued no later than 1PM.
