Solve the Mystery at Main Library on October 29

- Participate in a free murder mystery challenge for teens and adults -

BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Bring your inner detective to our newest library adventure - Mystery at Main: At Sea with a Key. Participants are invited to become private investigators at this free, interactive event and follow evidence and clues to catch a culprit. Investigate this Mystery at Main  from 2 to 5PM on Saturday, October 29 at Main Library, 100 S Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301, 954-357-7444.

The mystery begins when Mrs. Dunright donates a historic key to Main Library which she bought at a Friends of the Library sale, knowing it was of great value. But did the key's twisted history cost Mrs. Dunright her life? Cracking this case is a fun opportunity to exercise sleuthing skills while exploring Main Library. In the quest to unravel her murder, we will split up into competing teams of 8 to 10 people, following evidence on all the public floors.

You and your team will work with Detective D. Ketchum, a quirky Fort Lauderdale homicide detective, interviewing a list of sketchy suspects. Library staff perform as characters to give clues about whodunnit and why. Will your team be first to figure it out and capture the prize?

The trail ends with the Fort Lauderdale Friends of the Library, who will be providing snacks at the end of the event. Participation is free and registration is recommended. Bring friends, and please include the number of guests in your group so we can accommodate your party. For additional information, contact Sebastian Perez at sbperez@broward.org  or 954-357-7444.
