Broward County Library Now Lends Wireless Hotspots

BROWARD COUNTY, FL Broward County Library (BCL) now offers customers an opportunity to borrow wireless hotspots that enable them to use the internet at no charge. 

To help address and bridge the digital divide in Broward communities, BCL has acquired 550 hotspots which are now available to check out at any library locationEligible customers must have a valid Broward County Library card in good standing and be 18 years of age or older. Only one hotspot per household is allowed for a checkout period of 30 days with one renewal, for a total of 60 days.

In addition to portable internet hotspots, BCL card holders can find a wide range of items for business or pleasure to check out free of charge on the library's Gear to Go page, including tablets, Chromebooks, and Creation Station gear. For children, Playaway Launchpad Learning Tablets and Kids Read-Along Books are available free for check out.
