BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Environmental and Consumer Protection Division (ECPD) has received a Government Experience Project Award for its ePermits OneStop, a portal that allows customers to upload documents, submit permit applications and pay fees all in one place. The Government Experience Awards are presented by The Center for Digital Government to federal, state, county and city governments recognizing their achievements in best practice and ingenuity in improving digital experiences for its residents. Broward County was among ten in the category for County Governments.
ECPD established a cooperative relationship with more than 20 Broward County municipalities, creating the centralized digital submission platform for various city building permits and County approvals and associated permits. ePermits OneStop encourages customers to digitally submit permit applications eliminating the need to travel to multiple governmental agencies.
ePermits OneStop is changing the permitting dynamic between the County and cities, improving the customer experience and integrating systems into a more efficient and environmentally friendly process. To learn more about ePermits OneStop or to file a permit application, visit Broward.org/ePermits.
