Two Chances Left to Let Your Voice Be Heard at Redistricting Meetings

- Fifth meeting set for tonight in Pompano Beach -

BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Tonight's public meeting to engage the community in the redistricting process takes place at the E. Pat Larkins Community Center, 520 NW 3rd Street Pompano Beach, 33060. Tonight is the fifth of six public meetings scheduled to take place. The next one is scheduled for October 16, in North Lauderdale. Masks and social distancing are required at all in-person meetings.

Every 10 years following the Census, state law requires the County to redraw political district boundaries to account for population shifts and ensure equal representation. The meetings are planned in geographically and demographically diverse locations throughout the County. Tonight's meeting will provide another opportunity for residents to speak up and submit their own community-drawn maps for consideration.

Community input is vital to a fair redistricting process. The community is also welcome to submit comments via email to redistricting@broward.org. More information and a list of additional meetings are available at Broward.org/redistricting.
