County Joins Collaborative Vaccine Education Campaign

- Program aims to reach vulnerable communities -

BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The County is proud to partner with The Health Foundation of South Florida and Miami-Dade County for the "I Did It" COVID-19 vaccination campaign. The effort is geared to expand vaccine education outreach across South Florida and reach the region’s most vulnerable neighborhoods disproportionately impacted by the pandemic.

A kick-off ceremony took place on April 21, 2021, and is available for replay here.

As of April 21, nearly 1.2 million people across Broward and Miami-Dade counties have been fully vaccinated, including 484,701 people in Broward County. However, hesitation and resistance to taking the vaccine continue in certain areas. The campaign is intended to increase overall vaccine confidence.

“The ‘I Did It’ campaign is an amazing grassroots effort to increase vaccine confidence in our vulnerable and underserved communities,” said Broward County Commissioner Nan Rich. “It is critical to achieving “herd immunity,” which will allow us all to return to our normal lives.”

Campaign materials will be distributed across television, radio, outdoor, print, digital and social media in English, Spanish, Haitian Creole and Portuguese and feature area nonprofits, faith-based organizations, community leaders and local residents.
