Broward Water Matters Month Event Goes Virtual

- This year's theme is Water Matters - Broward Cares -

BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Throughout the month of March, Broward County will celebrate "Water Matters – Broward Cares" at the County's largest virtual environmental event, recognizing the importance of water to our planet.

The 19th Annual Broward Water Matters Month is Broward County's signature water conservation event where residents can learn about local and regional water resources, how water is managed, and how Broward’s water managers are planning to meet future water needs. Residents will receive tips on water conservation, find out about rebates and incentives for upgrading to water-conserving devices, learn how to create “Florida-friendly” and drought tolerant landscapes, and get lots of eco-friendly tips.

Water Matters Month makes water conservation and education fun for the whole family and will include a scavenger hunt on a virtual map, workshops, demonstrations, recognitions and prizes. Due to restrictions associated with COVID-19, the event is being held virtually this year. The native tree and plant giveaway, normally included as part of Water Matters Month, will be held later this year.
