BROWARD COUNTY, FL - The South Regional/Broward College Library is hosting a free, online Virtual Junior Maker Fest on April 3, 2021 from 11AM to 3PM. Age-specific activity kits, also free, allow kids to follow along with hands-on maker crafts that express creativity with everyday objects.

Families can pick up Maker Fest kits at the South Regional/Broward College Library, 7300 Pines Boulevard, Pembroke Pines 33024, beginning Saturday, March 6th. Kits can also be sent to your local library for pick up; call 954-201-8821 by March 22nd to request a delivery and ensure the kits arrive in time.

There are four kits available, two for younger children (3-5 years) and two for older kids (6-12 years). For younger children, there is a Windsock Craft and a Build with Cornstarch Blocks activity. Older kids can make a 3-D Paper Castle or fold fancy Mini-Boxes to hold small treasures. The event will conclude with a demonstration of the library’s Launch Pads and Read-along tablets to show families the technology that kids can check out and take home with a library card. The Saturday, April 3 online session times are:
