Transit to Roll Out New Buses

- Will enhance service and improve social distancing -

BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward County Transit (BCT) is committed to providing safe, environmentally friendly transportation and 2021 promises to be a pivotal year as we continue to grow our fleet with advanced technology and state-of-the-art buses. BCT recently purchased four articulated buses and five Motor Coach Industries (MCI) coaches. The new articulated buses will service heavily traveled corridors and allow for better social distancing. The MCI buses are scheduled to arrive by the end of 2020 and will service BCT’s I-95 and I-595 Express routes.

“We are looking forward to the addition of these new buses which will provide a safer and better experience for our riders,” said Chris Walton, Transportation Director.

These additions to the fleet will improve schedule reliability, enhance overall performance and increase rider confidence and satisfaction. BCT reminds passengers that when riding the bus, facial coverings are required and to continue to practice social distancing to protect themselves, other passengers and bus operators.
