BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Broward County Transit (BCT) supports the #Rally4Transit Thunderclap movement, led by supporters of public transportation, to send a unified message to Congress to fully fund public transportation.

Voices for Public Transit, a nationwide public transportation advocacy group, is mobilizing public transit supporters to use social media to spread the message on Tuesday, October 10
th at Noon. Join BCT in this effort by liking and engaging with us on Facebook.com/BrowardCountyTransit. More funding would help improve overall transit services for residents of Broward County.

This fall, Congress will be negotiating the fiscal year 2018 federal budget and appropriations. Proposed cuts to public transportation could stall or undermine current and future public transit projects, jeopardize hundreds of thousands of jobs and billions in economic output.

Public transit infrastructure investment generates economic benefits, helps communities attract business development, supports job growth, relieves traffic congestion, and helps lift people out of poverty.
