BROWARD COUNTY, FL - All military personnel will be extended free bus service on Broward County Transit (BCT) when they board in uniform or show their military identification during Fleet Week Port Everglades, May 1-7, 2017.

The Broward County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution on February 7, 2017, to approve the waiver of bus fares for military personnel to show appreciation for their service to our country. This year marks the 27
th consecutive year that Broward County and Port Everglades hosts the Fleet Week celebration honoring the men and women of the seagoing services.

BCT has provided naval organizers with route schedules, maps and travel information to Broward County's attractions, shopping centers and cultural sites.

Fleet Week 2017, presented by Humana Healthcare Military Services in partnership with Broward Navy Days, Inc., salutes the thousands of Sailors, Marines and Coast Guard men and women who arrive at Port Everglades in several U.S. Navy and Coast Guard ships.
